Nudist beach in Oahu

ハワイで唯一のヌーディストビーチはマウイ島のリトルビーチ…って思っていたら、オアフ島にもあった。しかもワイキキから南東に2.2kmしか離れていない。ホノルル動物園から徒歩で３３分だ。

場所は図で示したが、ダイヤモンドヘッド灯台の真下だ。ただ、直接降りるのは危険なので、ワイキキ側の細道から入ってくるといい。

２０２２年１月の状況だが、朝から晩まで、平均５人、少ないときは３人、多い時で１０人、そんな感じだ。性別は全員が男性。全裸になる人は私1人の時もあるし、半分以上の人が全裸になることもある。ここに通った２０日間の中で女性が来たのは４人。４人ともブラジリアンとかTとかいわれる水着で、上半身裸で過ごしてました。真っ白い肌が眩しかった。

シャワーもトイレもない。逆に言えば、大自然だ。

ここは別名「ゲイビーチ」とも言われているようで、ゲイの人が多いらしい。軽い挨拶を交わしたら「ゲイか？」って聞かれるので、「いや、ゲイじゃない。ストレートだ」って言えばおしまい。それ以上口説かれることはない。ほぼ毎日通ってて、来た時の挨拶、帰る時の挨拶、それだけの関係で、お互いに干渉することはない。みんな大人しい。

山側は崖になっていて、ところどころに洞穴があり、ホームレスが住んでいる。時々、海水で洗濯をしている。干すには最高だろうが、海水と衣類との関係が心配だ。

オアフ島には北部の方にもう一つ、POLO beachという Nudist Beachがあるらしい。２月にはそこにも行ってレポートしたい。

Sometimes I’m the only one who gets naked, and sometimes more than half of the people get naked. Of the 20 days I went here, four women came. All four were wearing swimsuits called Brazilian or T, and spent their time naked. The pure white skin was dazzling. There is no shower or toilet. To put it the other way around, it’s nature. It seems that this place is also known as “gay beach”, and there are many gay people. After exchanging a light greeting, you will be asked “Are you gay?”, So say “No, I am not gay. I’m straight.” I can’t be persuaded anymore. I go there almost every day, and I don’t interfere with each other because of the greetings when I come and the greetings when I return. Everyone is quiet. The mountain side is a cliff, and there are caves here and there, and homeless people live there. Sometimes they wash their clothes in seawater. It’s great for drying, but I’m worried about the relationship between seawater and clothing. There seems to be another Nudist Beach called POLO beach in the north on Oahu. I would like to go there in February and report on it. .
